Meet the Board
We Can Make an Impact!
From Keep Rowlett Beautiful President, Mark Engen
I would like to personally thank you for visiting the “Keep Rowlett Beautiful (KRB)” webpage. Our website has been updated and will continue to provide you with new and timely information about our non-profit organization.
It is our goal and responsibility to reach out to our community to help preserve the health of our environment. Our environment, community, and world that we live and work in reflect our attitudes and expectations. The KRB organization was formed to help our community be aware of the environmental impacts that surround us every day. The only way to improve the quality of the environment is through education and participation. From school age children to seniors, we can all make an impact to help preserve the environment. Along the way, we seem to forget what is important for us now and in the future. That is why KRB plays a vital part in educating and energizing our community to keep it clean and green.
Our continuing challenge is to reach out and get the residents involved and aware of the problems facing our community through our educational, recycling, and clean-up events. We are excited about the future Dan Roberts Environmental Learning Center (DRELC) that will benefit our community. This is a very exciting time for you to become involved.
How can you become involved? You can join our Board, be a part of a committee, help with educational programs, volunteer for an event, Adopt-A-Road, donate money, or provide input with the planning and development of the Dan Roberts Environmental Learning Center. We need and encourage community participation now to protect our environment for future generations. Check out all of the activities we have listed on our webpage and let us know how you can help assist us.
Please call the KRB office at 972-463-3929 or email us, if you have questions!
Together, we can make an impact in our community!
Mark Engen President Keep Rowlett Beautiful, Inc.
Keep Rowlett Beautiful consists of a Board of Directors, one part-time employee, and the Executive Director, who liaises with the city, state and national entities, and coordinates activities and programs.
Board members control the business and activities of the organization. Members are eligible to serve as officers and committee chairs. The degree of involvement varies, depending on the member’s time constraints and the particular projects the member chooses to work on.
In addition to the monthly meetings, (second Monday of the month, 7-9 pm), the members help plan events, promote Keep Rowlett Beautiful as an advocate, work on-site for events, etc., as much as the member desires and/or has time to commit.
